The Welsh Government has announced that our campsite can re-open from 25th July, 2020 as long as coronavirus rates continue to fall. This is for tents and shared amenities.

Welsh Regulations will apply during your stay which includes a 2 metre social distancing rule and maintaining social distancing between different households.

Our camping will be for BOOKINGS ONLY. Please do not just turn up as this option will not be available.

To book for camping you do need to give us a ring on 01766 890321 with card details for payment.

You can then complete our Track and Trace Camping Form for all members of your group/family and send to us by e mail

The Track and Trace Camping Form must be completed and returned as soon as you have booked.

Our capacity will be reduced and distance between tents remains at a minimum of 6 metres and 3 metres between persons in your group, please be kind to your fellow campers.

Our communal shower and toilet block will now have a one-way system with a maximum persons or family unit entry at any one time.

We have a 2 nights minimum stay and 3 nights over Bank Holiday weekend. We do request that payment is made in full to avoid delays and prevent queues on check in, when you arrive, and to minimise contact.

We are accredited with Good to Go which certifies we have met strict criteria for keeping our customers and staff safe

Announcement from Welsh Minister, Saturday, 11th July, 2020

It has been announced that self - contained accommodation in Wales may be able to re-open and bookings can be taken from 11th July onward.

As from 11th July, 2020 we therefore, may be able to open our Farmhouse Accommodations and small and medium sized Bunkhouses.

We wish to reassure our guests that all our accommodations have an enhanced cleaning and disinfecting regime in place, to ensure a safe environment for your stay.

Our camp site can also take bookings for Touring Motorhomes and Campervans where they have their own on-board shower, WC and kitchen facilities.

All of our communal facilities will remain closed and Welsh Regulations will apply during your stay.

If we are not able to open we will guarantee a change of date of your choice.

The final decision will be made at the next review of the regulations on 9 July.

Cwellyn Arms is a Country Inn with accommodation at the foot of Mount Snowdon in the village of Rhyd Ddu on the A4085 Caernarfon to Beddgelert road 4 miles from Beddgelert, in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.

Rhyd Ddu overlooks the sparkling clear waters of Llyn y Gadair, Llyn Cwellyn and the majestic western slopes of Mt. Snowdon, with two main footpaths, the Rhyd Ddu path and the Snowdon Ranger path starting from the village. Nearby attractions include Surf Snowdonia, a revolutionary surf lagoon and ‘Zip World’ which boasts the fastest zip line in the world, and the longest in Europe.
